On the edge of the village of Concots, on private grounds 1400 m2 in size, you’ll find La Maison Riante (the house with a smile). An ample, peacefully located, free-standing house for a maximum of 4 people and their pet (after arrangement in advance). Maison Riante offers a sizable living room with fireplace, three bedrooms, full and half bathrooms, kitchen, scullery, and various garden patios. The Dutch owners, who also speak English and French, live at 10 minutes distance.

Maison Riante is located within three minutes walking distance from a bakery and two restaurants. The backyard is adjacent to the “Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy” (176.000 hectares!), with space for biking and various well-marked hiking routes (including the pilgrims’ route to Santiago de Compostella).

Located 25 kilometers from county capital Cahors with its many shops, patios, sights, and 8 kilometers from the medieval Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, described as one of the most beautiful villages of France, and 10 kilometers from the charming Limogne en Quercy with a couple of restaurants, various shops and a (heated) swimming pool.

The rivers Lot and Célé offer possibilities for an active day: swimming, fishing, canoeing, rock climbing and spelunking. At 10 minutes you will find a beach at the border of the river Lot, which provides also a bar and a restaurant. Sights including Pech Merle (caves with world famous murals). Gouffre de Padirac (impressive cave featuring stalactites) and Rocamadour (medieval pilgrim’s town) are excellently suited to a day out.

Concots can be easily reached, a mere 25 kilometers from the A20 highway, 25 kilometers from Cahors train station and 100 kilometers from Toulouse airport.
